Turkey is a country located at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, and it has a well-developed mobile phone network. Mobile phones have become an essential part of daily life for most Turks, with more than 80% of the population owning a mobile phone.
Turkish mobile phone numbers consist of a total of 11 digits. The first four digits indicate the mobile network operator, and the remaining seven digits are the subscriber number. Turkcell is the largest mobile network operator in Turkey and has the most extensive coverage across the country. Its four-digit code is 0530, 0532, and 0535. Vodafone Turkey is the second-largest mobile network operator and has a four-digit code of 0542, 0543, and 0544. Finally, Türk Telekom is the newest player in the Turkish mobile market and has a four-digit code of 0552 and 0553.
It is important to note that Turkish mobile phone numbers are not geographically based. Therefore, you cannot tell where a person is located in Turkey based on their phone number. Additionally, Turkish mobile phone numbers are regulated by the Turkish government, and there are strict rules around the use of mobile phones, including restrictions on spam messages and unsolicited calls.
