Advertising investment plummets 20% in February, according to InfoAdex

During the month of February 2021, advertising investment has reached 331.7 million euros , 20% less compared to the same period of the previous year, when the registered volume was 414.5 million euros. This is revealed by the latest monthly report published by InfoAdex . In January, a drop of 17.1% was recorded . Digital , which occupies the first position by volume of advertising investment during the month of February 2021, has experienced a growth of 2.6% compared to the month of February 2020, obtaining 154.1 million euros. Within Digital, the best performance this month is for Social Networks , which increases its investment figure once again with 4.2%, reaching 41.8 million euros. Websites grows by 3.5% with an investment of 53.6 million euros compared to the 51.8 million euros it obtained in the same period of 2020. Finally, within the media included in Digital, Search increases by 0 .7%,
  
Going from 58.3 million euros in the month of February 2020 to 58.7 million in the month analyzed. February advertising investment The second medium by volume is television , which brings together an advertising Phone Number List investment of 115.6 million euros, 25.3% less than the 154.8 million euros of the same period in 2020. Radio , which occupies third place by investment, stands at 25.8 million and a decrease of 25%, above the fourth medium, Diarios , whose figure rises to 17.5 million euros in February and registers a drop of 36.9% on the figure corresponding to the last year. The Outdoor media decreased its advertising investment volume by 67.2% with 10.3 million euros. Magazines , sixth medium by investment volume, decreased by 33.6% and 7.7 million euros.



Supplements and Sunday papers  recorded 0.7 million euros and a decrease of 63.7% compared to the same period of the previous year. Finally, Cinema , one of the media most affected by the health crisis, reflects 0.1 million euros and a drop of 94%. This analysis includes data from those media and supports not directly controlled by InfoAdex based on declarative data from the advertising market. Therefore, the data presented may not coincide with those extracted from the tools that InfoAdex makes available to users of its information. The media most affected by this measure are Radio, Outdoor and Digital. During this year, the company also includes data from 2019 in the comparative tables with the aim of showing a more realistic scenario in terms of evolution: In February 2021, advertising investment in controlled media has decreased by 16% compared to as of February 2019 .
