After playing in the bronze medal game for the Czech Republic at the IIHF World Championships (a game won by Sweden), Jagr called it a career for his nation's team. Here we were holding out hope that the NHL would return to the Olympics Russell Westbrook Jersey in 2018 and Jagr would still be leading the Czechs.It has been quite the international career for Jagr. He has been dre sing in the Czech national uniform since 1988-89 when the country was still Czechoslovakia. He played in the Olympics five times, winning a gold in 1998 and bronze in 2006. This was also the eighth time he played for the Czechs at the Worlds in addition to playing in the World Juniors (where he had 18 points in 7 games in 1989-90) and the World Cup. Though the Czechs fell short of a medal, Jagr is still going out on top in a way. He led the team with eight points (four goals, four a sists) in 10 tournament games.
