So I was once again pleasantly surprised by the work done by the students for the 14th edition of Designers' Saturday in Langenthal. ECAL therefore had carte blanche for their “Low-Tech Factory” exhibition, a selection of machines designed by Industrial Design students and produced and supervised by Chris Kabel and Tomás Král. For this image manipulation service carte blanche, it seemed natural to us to ask the students to reflect on the enhancement of the manufacturing process of an object, going from the machine to the finished product. They thus experimented with simple and ingenious shaping principles such as molding, thermoforming or knitting, in order to obtain finished products.
Low-Tech Factory?" tackles the theme of self-production dear to designers, bringing together six playful machines that produce mirrors, hats, bags, toys, lamps and even popcorn throughout the duration of the exhibition! A great success then! source These articles may interest you Documentary: The emergence of Low-tech! Discover the 2012 Gobelins greeting card! Low tech graphics!
