As we all know new Chelsea bo s Andre Villas-Boas or more commonly Miguel Montero Jersey AVB has been implementing his ways at Chelsea with mixed results, until New Years Day they were the only team to beat table toppers Man City. With Daniel Sturridge and Juan Mata looking as bright as buttons during every game with both increasing their reputations but with the win against Wolves was their first win in five games and the usual fortre s at Stamford Bridge is no more, teams come and are no longer scared and this is shown in results losing 3 times already at home.AVB has tried to install a attacking belief in the Chelsea players giving what seems like all the midfielders and attackers apart from one holding midfielder free rein to expre s themselves and this has given people like Sturridge and Mata a chance to shine whereas the central striker in Chelseas 4-3-3 has failed to fire with Torres still not firing on all cylinders with captain John Terry having scored more goals in the league.Thats the attacking side of thingsdealtwith but for me Chelseas main problem has lay at the back,epitomized with the 5-3lo s against Arsenal, a game full of mistakes for the Chelsea defence and keeper Petr Cech who has not been up to his usual standards.For the first and last goals the Chelsea defences line was far Mark Reynolds Jersey too high especially for the last goal where John Terry was almost at the half way line were the misplaced pa s was just yards in front of him. The only consistent defender Chelsea have had has been Ashley Cole who has been in fine form and the introduction of Oriol Romeu has also bolstered the defence considerably. John Terry now needs a very good partner in defence whereas all he used to need was someone half decent and he would marshal them along. Petr Cech has most definitely been a shadow of his former self the mistake against arsenal for the fifth goal and the spill against Wigan in the dying embers of the game have been just a few of the 6 foot 5 keepers mistakes this year.As December turns to January Chelsea will surely spend in January to bolster the squad. For me they need another keeper, midfielder and striker. As the Gary Cahill deal is Michael A. Taylor Jersey completed this should hopefully sort out the defence and the return of Michael E sien will also help.For goalkeeper I believe they should buy Javi Varas from Sevilla, the promising young keeper has been in fine from for the Seville club and hisperformanceearlier in the season against Barcelona making countle s saves and then a penalty save as the game drew towards a close to earn Sevilla a point. The defender I think their mi sing is Mats Hummels of Boru sia Dortmund. The young German made a ma sive impre sion on the Bundesliga last year as he helped Dortmund to win the league with one of the miserliest defences in Europe. The midfielder that Chelsea need has to have a certain spark, the X factor if you will. For this I think they need to dip into Dortmunds ranks again and purchase Mario Gotze. Another young and uber-talented German stamped himself James Bourque Jersey on the Bundesliga last year setting up eleven goals and grabbing six for himself this year he already has five goals and five a sists, although he is being chased by many clubs I hope Chelsea will get pen to paper for him first. Lastly Chelsea need a goalscorer so for this I believe they should buy David Villa, out of favour at Barcelona and with younger players making a big impre sion while he recovers from his broken leg he could be returning to the bench for a while to come. He has proved himself for Barcelona over the years as a goal-getter and believe he would fit in great with Villas-Boas at Chelsea.All in all I think that Chelsea should see this season as the year they try to get everything together and sorted out, hopefully they could win the FA Cup, winning the Champions League is far to ambitious but as Daniel Murphy Jersey an optimistic Chelsea fan I wont rule it out. I would say that if the players I suggested are bought and are given time to gel with the others he will have a fantastic group of players to work with and attempt to win the league with Chelsea. |
