Especially integrating such multipurpose expressions into our vocabulary became a chore. There were a lot of things that needed to be clarified. Does the designation have multiple meanings and is it used in multiple ways? Are the meanings specific to the type of text, and are they related to a certain situation of language use? Above all, we had to keep in mind the goal of our work: the occurrence and use of the designation in the administration.
What is the meaning of the designation in administration and how is Switzerland Phone Number List related to other meanings? After checking the content, about 30 nominations remained on the table. At this stage, the list largely contained the nominations that eventually made it into the final version (25 search terms). Some designations were omitted or changed to another one later.
After the opinion round, the word heritage language was added to the vocabulary , 'a language significant to an individual through the history of the family, which affects the linguistic identity'. For the time being, it is hardly used in administration, but the need may arise, for example, in future projects related to language legislation. The target group and readership are also closely related to limiting the content. The (intended) users of the vocabulary influence both demarcation and linguistic choices.
