There was a scare right off the bat at the Winter Olympics. Finland couldn't play its initial women's hockey matchup with Canada due to a norovirus outbreak within the Finnish squad. That game was postponed, and there have been little inklings of illne s but not anything like that in the days since. It did raise the question about what the men's hockey teams of the United States and Canada might do. Would their NHL players take the risk of getting sick in the Olympic Village? The federations could house them elsewhere if they'd like. At least for Team USA, the decision has been made. Dylan Cease Jersey The winger Brady Tkachuk told media on Sunday that the U.S. will remain in the Olympic Village for the remainder of the tournament. "We want the full experience," Tkachuk told media after the first practice for the United States as a full team in Italy. Brady Tkachuk says he and his USA teammates have already decided they are staying in the Olympic Village for the duration of the tournament. We want the full experience, he said. If there had been persistent worries, maybe it'd be a different decision. But given that since the Finland scare, there haven't been any outbreak-level i sues since then.
